The Prayer List:
- Margaret Kinney was released from the hospital Monday evening, and was in the assembly Wednesday evening feeling great..
- Patrick, one of our Bible students in the county jail, has a court date Friday and requests your prayers for a judgment that will allow his continued progress in turning his life back toward God.
- Deanna Farr was able to get out Wednesday evening, but had to leave the assembly toward the end of class because her symptoms of weakness and dizziness returned. Doctors have changed her medications, and her body hasn't adjusted yet. She hopes that is the only problem.
- Carly Smith has a bad ear infection.
- Pray regularly for all of our Mission Works listed elsewhere on this site.
- Please pray for those engaged locally in home Bible studies, both teachers and students.
- Please pray for our state and national leaders.
OTHER NEWS:
- The elders will assign one deacon each month as the contact person for maintenance needs on the building and grounds. If you see a need for attention to electrical, plumbing, structural or landscaping issues please contact that deacon. For August, contact Bill Elliott.
- Bay has a gospel meeting August 1-4 with Mike Vestal.
- Holden Avenue and Calhoun Street churches in Newport have a joint VBS August 1-5 with Mac Lynn teaching the adult classes on the history and practice of Islam as it compares with the Bible.
- Information about the late August "Polishing the Pulpit" lecture and study series is on the bulletin board.
